A scrubber is not a single efficiency number. Cleaning depends on how brush or pad contact, solution delivery, travel behavior, vacuum path, squeegee geometry, floor condition, operator decisions, and energy state interact over a real route.

The assigned roadmap structure is used here only to explain cleaning-machine technology. Every statement stays within machine selection, controlled testing, documentation, operation, and maintenance.

Five checkpoints make a machine trial interpretable

Define the surface

Record substrate, finish, joints, slopes where relevant, condition, previous method, and areas excluded from the trial.

Characterize the soil

Separate loose debris, particulate, tracked contamination, film, oil-like residue, and embedded soil before choosing contact and chemistry.

Fix the method

Document brush or pad, pressure setting, approved chemistry, dilution, solution flow, dwell, speed, overlap, and pickup configuration.

Run the hard route

Include narrow turns, edges, joints, traffic interaction, refill and dump travel, and other non-cleaning time.

Inspect and repeat

Record remaining soil, surface response, water recovery, interventions, energy state, consumable condition, and end-of-run care.

Technical limitations that remain visible

  • Theoretical area rate does not include setup, turns, overlap, obstruction, transport, refill, dump, touch-up, or end-of-shift care.
  • A result from one brush, pad, chemistry, floor finish, soil load, or operator cannot automatically be transferred to another combination.
  • Water pickup can decline through wear, adjustment, debris, joints, damaged floor, turns, or a restricted recovery path; the machine may not be the only variable.
  • Website information cannot authorize maintenance, safe isolation, slope use, chemistry, electrical work, or modifications. Current instructions and qualified personnel govern.
